Power Solutions- Distributed Electrical Sensing (DES)
A significant majority, approximately 69%*, of HV cable failures are concentrated in joints and terminations, areas that traditional monitoring techniques tend to overlook. *Source DNV. GL
- – No early warnings of failures in conventional DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing) and, PD (Partial Discharge) monitoring technologies.
- – External issues like cable screen continuity, earth faults, or power quality in addition to environmental issues such as flooding, corrosion, or water trees can be monitored by our solution
- – By monitoring cable sheath current using DES, we can make circuit models more accurate, and we can detect signs of damage early, like overheating, water or electrical damage, PD, and flashover.
